Solo Catalina & Shoprite Deal, as low as $.59!!!!

As I mentioned earlier, there'a a Solo Catalina Deal going on now through 6/10/12. Right now there aren't any coupons for Solo, But Shoprite does have a great sale & Solo plates are 1/2 price.

My Pasta Fagioli Soup

So in my post from earlier, I shared this great recipe for pasta fagioli soup. It turned out very good for my first time making it & as you can see I made salad and Pillsbury bread on the side.


This is a great recipe and that means that once the weather changes back this meal will be rotated in my meal plans. It's great because it makes alot & I can freeze the leftovers and there's a few days lunch!!!!

There it is, yummy!!!!!

Shoprite Trip: Spent only $6.27!!!

I went to Shoprite yesterday for a couple of reasons. One was to get beef broth, which I didn't have any in the house(only had chicken broth). I needed beef broth for my pasta fagioli soup, check here for recipe, that I am making today!!!!

I also wanted to take advantage of the new $.50/1 Lawry's printable coupon, Shoprite had them on 4-day price break for $1.25 each(must buy 4) that ended yesterday, so after coupon and doubles I only 25 cent for each Lawry's marinade.


So this is what I did....

(1) Shoprite beef broth @ $1.79 each
(2) Slim fast Snack bars @ $3.29 each
(2) Hillshire Beef Sausage @ $2.99 each
(2) Butterball Turkey bacon @ $1.67 each

Pasta Fagioli Soup for Dinner

My good friend & co-worker JoAnn bought some pasta fagioli to work and she shared some with me and OM goodness it was absolutely delicious. So I asked her to write down the recipe for me and I also checked online and read a few different recipes to see the different ways to make this awesome meal.


I found this recipe online which is nearly exact of what my friends recipe is, I went out to get ingredients that I didn't have because yes this is what I am attempting tonight for dinner. I will post a pic to show you how it turnsout.

Now there are a few things I will do or use differently, instead of beef stock I'm using beef broth. Also instead of tabasco sauce, I will use bell pepper seeds. I will only use red kidney beans, not red & white like the above recipe. And last but not least, I will be Ditalini pasta instead of the pasta in the above picture.
